CCAP (College and Career Access Pathways) and ACP (Academic & Career Pathways) are dual enrollment programs that allow our High Tech High students to take college-level courses exclusively with other High Tech High students, earning college credit. The tuition for these courses is free for HTHM students.
Check out our current CCAP/ACP Course Schedule HERE.
Beyond CCAP/ACP courses, you may also take concurrent enrollment courses at San Diego Mesa College, City College, or Miramar College. You can take any course that fits with your high school schedule and in which you meet the required prerequisites. These courses can be taken during the school year (fall or spring) or over the summer. The tuition for these classes is free for all HTHM students!

High Tech High Mesa’s dual enrollment program offers students a transformative opportunity to jumpstart their college journey while still in high school. Through robust partnerships with the University of San Diego and the San Diego Community College District, two-thirds of HTHM graduates gain firsthand experience in college-level coursework before graduation.
This program delivers three key benefits:
Development of College Success Skills: By navigating the expectations of college-level courses, students build critical skills such as time management, independent learning, and academic resilience—tools essential for success in higher education.
Earning College Credits: Students earn credits that count toward their college degree, reducing future tuition costs and potentially shortening the time needed to graduate.
Enhanced College Admissions Competitiveness: Participation in dual enrollment demonstrates academic rigor and initiative, helping students stand out in an increasingly competitive college admissions landscape.
Students have access to a wide range of courses tailored to their interests and goals. Humanities options include subjects such as Psychology, Speech Communication, Foreign Languages, and Political Science, while STEM offerings include advanced courses like Engineering, Chemistry, Calculus, and Theory of Discrete Mathematics.
HTHM’s dual enrollment program not only prepares students for the intellectual demands of college but also ensures they are well-positioned to meet the admissions standards of the nation’s most selective institutions. By engaging with a rigorous curriculum, students gain a meaningful academic head start, empowering them to thrive in their post-secondary pursuits.
